Welcome to the STC Secondary Education Outreach Committee (SEOC).

SEOC's main goal is to encourage growth in the technical communication profession by reaching out to secondary students, teachers, counselors, and parents. This committee embodies STC's commitment to the future of the technical communication profession by communicating and collaborating with students and educators.

This year SEOC is working on pilot programs that include the formation of a technology academy within a California high school; the development and delivery of a secondary teacher, technical communication workshop in Columbus, Ohio; the development of career materials for technical communication, focused on the high school student audience; and exploration into offering Web-based training for secondary teachers interested in incorporating technical communication instruction into their classrooms.
