Region 8 of STC includes 21 chapters with nearly 4,000 members in California, Nevada, Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand. This web site provides information about regionwide events as well as information about events hosted by individual chapters. If you are new to the region, we hope this site will be a helpful resource for you. Touchstone 2002 -- The Northern California Technical Publications Competition Touchstone 2002, the STC Northern California Technical Communication Competition, is now under way. For more information, see the Touchstone 2002 Web site at http://www.stc-touchstone.org. The competition director is Emmy Aricioglu (mailto:director@stc-touchstone.org). The Region 8 web site is getting a new look! The Region 8 web site will soon have a new look on or about October 1. The basic structure will remain the same, but you'll see a new layout and color scheme.
